Barb is a psychic medium.  She will receive information in her mind and body from your loved one that only you will understand.  This is called evidential mediumship. 

When connecting with a departed loved one, she receives information in the form of images in her mind's eye as well as through sound, sensations, feelings & emotions.

A mediumship experience is a 'partnership' between you, your departed loved one and the medium.  The medium is the conduit or channel through which the communication is received.  The strength of the communication depends on so many things including how well your loved one can 'send' in the moment, how well the medium can receive at that time and even your intention and state of mind.   We both come to the table with an open mind and heart - open to all the love, connection and guidance that is available for us from the many souls who love and watch over us from the other side.

A specific person is not guaranteed although many times is who comes through.  What you can expect, though, is a meaningful experience and an understanding that you are not alone in this world.
